RAA believes the default speed limit of 100km/h should apply on rural roads that do not form part of key routes unless the road is currently of a sufficient standard to allow vehicles to safely travel at the higher speed limit of 110km/h.
We support zoning of a signed open road limit of 110km/h on higher standard divided rural roads and roads that form part of the National Highway Network.
